For the transformation of the former State Printing Works building (1906–1910) into the characterful ALD Hotel, we were responsible for the production and installation of all bespoke joinery. Within this historic property, redeveloped into a boutique hotel featuring 91 rooms across six distinct room types, we contributed with craftsmanship and attention to detail to an interior that reflects the vision of the operator, LBG Hotels.
On the ground floor, we delivered the bespoke fixed joinery for the stylish lobby and reception area, as well as the fitted furniture for the breakfast and coffee space. Here, functionality and aesthetics come together in a high-quality finish that complements the historic character of the building. For the guest rooms — located on the ground floor and across the first to fourth floors — we manufactured and installed all fixed bespoke furnishings. This included wardrobes, pantry units in the eight studios with kitchenette facilities, and tailored solutions for the eleven duplex rooms, where an internal staircase leads to a mezzanine sleeping area.
All rooms were fitted with bespoke joinery, refined headboard features, and carefully detailed finishes to floors, walls and ceilings. Throughout the project, quality, precision and durability were paramount, fully aligned with the expectations and design ambitions of LBG Hotels.
This project allowed us to contribute to a distinctive hotel experience where historic character and contemporary comfort are seamlessly combined.
