Criteria
Who are we looking for?
Higher education (HBO) level with experience as a (technical) purchaser in interior construction, construction, manufacturing or project-based production
- You are strong in execution: you maintain pace, keep an overview and finish things off neatly;
- Affinity with technology/materials and preferably production and outsourcing processes;
- You are good at liaising with suppliers and internal teams; (project-based working)
- You have experience with ERP/purchasing software (Proteus is an advantage) or are a quick learner;
- Accurate and process-oriented: you understand that a good database makes all the difference;
- Strong communicator, but pleasant to work with.

About the role
In this role, you will be involved in the daily procurement of materials, parts and services for our interior design projects. You will request quotations, compare prices, negotiate and record agreements. At the same time, you will build a strong network of (production) partners and suppliers in the United Kingdom and abroad, enabling us to scale up flexibly and always deliver the right quality. Contributing ideas to one of the larger interior construction companies in the Netherlands, which also has an international scope, offers many opportunities and variety.
You will liaise closely with the purchasing team, costing, project management, engineering and work preparation — in a practical, direct manner and with short lines of communication.

What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities:
- Requesting, assessing and comparing quotations (materials, production, subcontracting)
- Purchasing project-related (sustainable) materials and services: price, quality, delivery time, reliability
- Setting up and expanding a production network at home and abroad (sourcing, selection, qualification)
- Contributing to (and implementing) purchasing strategy: standardisation, framework agreements, preferred suppliers
- Sparring partner for the MT
- Recording and monitoring supplier agreements and delivery performance
- Identifying price developments, risks and alternatives (including sustainable ones)
- Managing and improving the product database in Proteus (products, prices, conditions, supplier data)
- Supporting and improving purchasing processes in practical terms, together with the team.
